While kids use the Lent Calendar to keep track of  jelly bean prayers, a visual reminder of our small Lenten sacrifices, is the use of a sacrificial bean jar . As youth and adults we not only show by kids by example but share in keeping track, encouraging, participating as a family in Lent activities and the counting down the days to Easter.

Each family member adds a bean to the jar as a visual reminder while kids receive a jelly bean in exchange.
